The former child actress' pals are terrified that she may die in rehab as 'Amanda has put her body through so much.'

AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes recently checked back into rehab after she suffered a relapse in her mental health battle. Though she's now under the care of professionals and addiction counselors, that didn't stop her friends from worrying about her well-being.

Her pals are reportedly worried that she won't survive through her latest relapse and that she may not leave rehab alive. A so-called insider tells Radar Online, "Amanda has put her body through so much. Everyone is terrified this latest slip-up may kill her!"

Amanda checked into a Los Angeles-area rehab facility in January as the pressure of stepping back into the spotlight caused her a lot of stress. "Amanda can't seem to handle the media spotlight," a source dished. "But she can't continue to abuse herself like this. She won't survive it."

Amanda's latest rehab stint came after she declared in an interview with Paper that she was four years sober. Detailing her history of drug abuse, the 32-year-old star revealed she started smoking weed at 16. She then took more dangerous drugs, like molly and ecstasy. She also tried cocaine, but claims that she only used it three times and didn't like it.

The former Nickelodeon star admitted she was hooked on Adderall after learning that women used it to keep themselves thin. But the drug began to affect her work, leading to her quitting "Hall Pass" which was filmed in 2010.

Amanda retired from acting after starring in 2010's teen drama "Easy A" because "I literally couldn't stand my appearance in that movie and I didn't like my performance." She added, "I was high on marijuana when I saw that but for some reason it really started to affect me."

Admitted she was "young, stupid and high" when she made the decision, she found her life becoming somewhat meaningless. "I just had no purpose in life. I'd been working my whole life and (now) I was doing nothing," she recalled. "I had a lot of time on my hands and I would 'wake and bake' and literally be stoned all day long."

She eventually enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles in 2014 and credited her studies with helping her get back on the right path.
