The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman offers a glimpse of his title character as he hides part of his face behind a clapperboard.

AceShowbiz - Jared Leto has once again teased his transformation into Morbius. The singer/actor posted on Twitter on Tuesday, March 5 the first official set photo from the upcoming movie, giving a glimpse of him as the titular vampiric antihero.

Most of Leto's face is hidden behind a clapperboard, but it's clear that it's him in character. The expression on his eyes look brooding as he films a scene in what looks like a laboratory. "1 week down...11 to go... Get Ready #MORBIUS," he captioned the image.

Leto has been teasing his role in the upcoming movie with various videos on social media. In one video posted on February 14, he wished his fans happy Valentine's Day with a clip of him showing off his ripped body in a gym. He mimicked a demon cry that was heard in the video.

Another video had him speaking in mysterious low voice following the first day of filming. "It's pretty fun. Can't wait for you guys to see what we got cooking," he said while he sat in a moving car.

"Morbius" is based on Marvel Comics' character, who is famously known as one of Spider-Man villains. He is described as a scientist who becomes a vampire when a blood experiment goes wrong. "Doctor Who" and "The Crown" alum Matt Smith has been attached to star in an undisclosed role. "The Fast and the Furious" franchise actor Tyrese Gibson has recently been added to the cast, but his character is unknown either.

Daniel Espinosa ("Safe House") is serving behind the lens with Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama providing the script. "Venom (2018)" producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing "Morbius". No release date is set for the movie just yet.
