In addition to starring in the biopic about Richard Williams, the 'Bad Boys 3' star will also also executive produce the project via his Overbrook Entertainment company.

AceShowbiz - Will Smith is attached to play Venus Williams and Serena Williams' father in a new biopic.

The movie star has teamed up with Tim and Travor White to push "King Richard" through Hollywood with the help of his agents at CAA, after being wowed by Zach Baylin's script, according to Deadline.

Smith is slated to play Richard Williams, who despite having no tennis background, oversaw his daughters' tennis careers from overgrown courts in Compton, California to the top of the international game two decades ago after Serena won the US Open in 1999 and Venus beat Lindsay Davenport to win the 2000 Wimbledon title.

Smith will also executive produce the project via his Overbrook Entertainment company, alongside Allan Mandelbaum and Caleeb Pinkett.

Will will next be seen as the genie in Disney's new "Aladdin" movie, while reports suggest he has stepped away from the "Suicide Squad" sequel.

He is currently shooting the latest "Bad Boys" film with Martin Lawrence, and according to Deadline, "King Richard" could be his next film project.

Meanwhile, the "Ali" star has turned his bucket list endeavours into a new online series for Facebook.

Will has been checking daring challenges off his list of lifetime goals for the last few months, famously celebrating his 50th birthday in September (2018) by bungee jumping from a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.

The rapper and actor had a camera crew document his adventures for fans and now he's taken all of the footage and edited it down for a new six-episode series called, "Will Smith's Bucket List".

The first installment, documenting a skydive with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, was released on social media streaming platform Facebook Watch last week, February 27, and Will took to Instagram to share the news with fans.

"Okay... For the last few months, I've been shootin' a show called @WillSmithsBucketList," he wrote, alongside the show trailer. I turned 50 and I decided I was gonna do EVERYTHING I've ever wanted to do - Swim with Sharks, do Stand-Up and make @JadaPinkettSmith jump out of an Airplane (Which is what happens in the first episode)... Check it out!"
