The '13 Going on 30' star realizes it a bit too late that her 7-year-old son thinks it's not cool that she dresses up as a movie character for his birthday.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Garner's son Samuel may be a big fan of "How to Train Your Dragon", but that doesn't mean he wants to see his mother transforming into one of the characters. Perhaps trying to entertain her son, the actress dressed up as Astrid Hofferson at his 7th birthday party, but he wasn't happy about it.
The "Alias" alum took to Instagram on Thursday, February 28 to share a picture of her wearing a Viking-inspired outfit which consisted of a fur shawl, arm sleeves, a pointy, leather skirt with leggings underneath and fur boots, complete with blue and orange face paint.
She looked excited as she presented her son with a chocolate cake featuring Toothless' eyes around the edges, but his reaction was not what she had expected. "Well, guess what. It turns out 7 is the age my kid stops thinking it's cool when I dress up for the party," she shared in the caption. She added the hashtags #firsteyeroll and #anyoneneedanAstrid.
Jennifer also tagged America Ferrera, who voices Astrid in the film franchise. Unlike Samuel, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" actress was excited to see the "Elektra" star channeling her character. "Ahhhh!!!! Yeeeeessss!!! AMAZING @jennifer.garner as ASTRID!!" Ferrera wrote on the picture she re-posted on her Instagram Stories.
Despite remaining committed to her children, Jennifer isn't abandoning her love life. The 46-year-old actress, who has been dating businessman John Miller, was recently spotted going on a dinner date with the handsome hunk.
In pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the pair were seen together at Italian eatery Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Wednesday night. They reportedly spent three hours inside the restaurant with two other couples, before leaving together.
Clad in a gray coat and black pants with pointed heels, Jennifer was walking a little ahead of her beau. She shyly smiled as she headed to a car, before John, who wore a white shirt, a black suit and pants, followed her up and closed the car's door for her.
She also maintains a close relationship with her ex Ben Affleck, who is the father of her three children, 13-year-old Violet, 10-year-old Seraphina and Samuel. On early Wednesday, the former couple was all smiles while chatting and walking together in Santa Monica.
