Though admitting that the surgery was 'like being in Motley Crue in 1987', the bass guitarist explains why he is adamant to have a child with radio host wife Courtney Bingham.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Nikki Sixx underwent intimate surgery on his genitals to make his wife's baby dreams come true after undergoing a vasectomy over a decade ago.

The Motley Crue star is currently expecting his first child with model-turned-radio host Courtney Bingham, but reveals they didn't conceive naturally, as the musician, already a father of four, had previously ruled out having more kids following his divorce from former "Baywatch" actress Donna D'Errico.

"I was once married to someone named Satan, and I said, 'I'm not going to live the rest of my life in court fighting over child support, so I don't ever want to do this again,' " he recalled to USA Today of his previous surgery decision.

That all changed when Nikki settled down with Courtney, whom he wed in 2014.

"I remember thinking, 'I miss those days, I miss being a dad,' " he shared. "I didn't have a father, and I always loved being a father. It's an itch I can't scratch. My kids are older, and I have a great relationship with them."

However, the bassist wasn't too interested in having his vasectomy reversed after so long, as there were no guarantees it would be a success.

Instead, he underwent a sperm retrieval procedure which involved having his testicles operated on.

"They (doctors) just had to take it out of me - that's no party getting your (testicles) cut open," Sixx insisted, before quipping, "Getting your (testicles) cut open is like being in Motley Crue in 1987. It's the same feeling. But now she's pregnant, and we're super excited."

The baby will be a half-sibling for Nikki's four adult children - the 60-year-old shares Gunner, 28, Storm, 24, and Decker, 23, with his first wife Brandi Bandt, and he also has an 18-year-old daughter, named Frankie-Jean, with his second wife, D'Errico. They divorced in 2007 after 11 years as husband and wife.

It'll be a busy few months for Sixx - in addition to preparing for the arrival of the new child, he is also promoting Motley Crue's forthcoming biopic, "The Dirt", in which he is portrayed by actor Douglas Booth. The film is set for release on Netflix on 22 March.
