Nearly a year after Safaree Samuels reported the crime to the police, Shawn Harewood, Tacuma Ashman, and Carl Harry have been charged with armed robbery, unlawful possession among others.

AceShowbiz - Three men have been indicted for allegedly robbing Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend, rapper and reality TV regular Safaree Samuels, at gunpoint last year (2018).

Samuels had $180,000 (£135,300) in cash and jewellery stolen from him in April, 2018, when he was targetted as he was getting out of his car near his home in New Jersey.

Police made two arrests the day after Samuels reported the crime, and now prosecutors have filed a seven-count indictment against Shawn Harewood, Tacuma Ashman, and Carl Harry.

According to TMZ, the charges include armed robbery in the first degree, and unlawful possession of a gun in the second degree.

They are also facing an allegation of resisting arrest, after reportedly trying to flee on foot when they crashed their getaway car in New York.

If convicted, the trio faces up to 20 years behind bars.
