Speaking of his collaboration with the 'London Fields' actress, DJ and producer Shy FX gushes that the song and the concept of the promo video 'came out of a really organic place'.

AceShowbiz - Cara Delevingne has turned to drum and bass DJ and producer Shy FX to kick start her music career.

The model and actress has long wanted to move into pop, having once signed with the Spice Girls' manager Simon Fuller and also recorded a song for the soundtrack of her 2017 movie "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets".

According to British newspaper The Sun, the 26-year-old now wants to get serious about music, and has recorded a new track with the jungle pioneer, titled "Rudeboy Lovesong". It debuted on BBC Radio 1Xtra on Monday, February 25.

"Cara's career as a recording artist has been a long time coming and she is now taking tentative steps into making it happen," a source told the publication. "She did loads of songs a good few years ago now but the timing didn't work out and she decided to focus on her acting career instead.

"But now she is at a point in her life where she is excited about dipping her toe in new projects like this one and is open to doing more singing. She was really pleased by how this song turned out."

Speaking about their collaboration, Shy FX, real name Andre Williams, added: "We met through mutual friends a while back and ended up in a studio session a few weeks later. The vibe just clicked and the track came out of a really organic place, as did the concept for the video."

The drum and bass producer, Shy FX had a major U.K. chart hit in 2002 with "Shake Ur Body" and has worked with Dizzee Rascal, Emeli Sande, and Ms. Dynamite.

Despite putting plans for a music career on hold and pursuing acting in addition to modelling, Cara has released the odd track, including "I Feel Everything", and "CC the World", a collaboration with Pharrell Williams for a Chanel ad campaign.

She also recorded backing vocals on "Pills", a song from ex-girlfriend St. Vincent's 2017 album "Masseduction".
