The video introduces a new character, Zeta, who threatens the Angry Birds as she is tired of her life on a remote, polar island.

AceShowbiz - Meet Zeta, a new character in "The Angry Birds Movie 2"! Introduced in the first teaser trailer of the "Angry Birds" movie sequel, the purple bird is voiced by Leslie Jones and is described as having "tons of ice...and zero chill."

The video mostly focuses on Zeta, who lives on the icy tundra. She is seen relaxing on the frozen pool, but she gets easily frustrated by the freezing temperature that turns water into ice blocks. As her regular activities, like eating fish and brushing her teeth, are often hindered by the weather, she declares that she's had enough of living on the frozen island.

Zeta then instructs her servant to fire an ice ball, threatening the Angry Birds on the tropical island. "We're gonna need a bigger sling shot," declares Leonard, as the trailer promises that "winter is coming" in the movie.

In the second movie adaptation of Rovio Entertainment's "Angry Birds" video game series, King Mudbeard, ruler of the Bad Piggies, plots revenge against them after they devastated his homeland in a prior battle to reclaim their eggs. Meanwhile, a mysterious purple bird, Zeta, tired of her life on a remote, polar island, threatens them all with her own plans for conquest. The so-called villain of the movie is said to rain ice on both the Angry Birds and their nemesis, the Bad Piggies.

Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage return to the voice cast, with Brooklynn Prince being added as the voice of Zoe. Nicki Minaj, Rachel Bloom, Sterling K. Brown, Eugenio Derbez, Zach Woods, Awkwafina, Lil Rel Howery, Dove Cameron and Beck Bennett additionally join the cast in undisclosed roles.

Thurop Van Orman serves behind the lens, while Peter Ackerman writes the script. The CGI action comedy film is set to hit theaters across the nation on August 16.
