'We can't wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of the show,' Debmar-Mercury, the show's production company, says in a statement.

AceShowbiz - The wait is over, guys! Wendy Williams is making her way back to the small screen soon following her more than 2-month hiatus. "The Wendy Williams Show" host announces that she will be returning to the daytime talk show on Monday, March 4.

"Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in daytime," Debmar-Mercury, the show's production company, said in a statement on Thursday, February 21. "We can't wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of the show."

"We so appreciate all of the guest hosts and panelists who filled in for Wendy during this time. These people are, and always will be, true family to the show," the statement continued. "And we want to thank all of the loyal and supportive fans who have been with us for 10 years now."

Williams added, "Salute to Debmar-Mercury for believing from the start and thanks to my staff for tirelessly holding it down for me."

The "Ask Wendy" author took a break from her TV show in late December 2018 due to health reasons. "Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves' Disease that will require treatment," her family said in a statement on January 18. "Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being."

During her absence, "The Wendy Williams Show" enlisted multiple celebrities including Nick Cannon and Jason Biggs to host guest and serve as panelist.

The new announcement arrives after it was reported that the show would go into reruns as early as next week. "Staff have not heard from Wendy and are concerned for the future of their jobs," an insider told Radar Online. "It has been a struggle."

It was also rumored last week that Wendy and her husband Kevin Hunter were no longer involved in the day to day operations of the show. "She is 100 percent not involved," a source shared to Us Weekly. "Every decision is now being made with zero conversations with Wendy."
