George Eastman Museum director Bruce Barnes calls the works by the 'Erin Brockovich' star 'a true testament to her natural talents and her well-honed craft.'

AceShowbiz - Julia Roberts will be honoured with the George Eastman Award later this year.

The "Erin Brockovich" star will be feted for her contributions to film at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, New York on 2 May.

"We are thrilled to present Julia Roberts with the George Eastman Award," the museum's Bruce Barnes says. "The depth and breadth of her career and the range of the characters she portrays on screen are a true testament to her natural talents and her well-honed craft. We look forward to recognising her contribution to the art of cinema."

Past recipients of the accolade, which was established in 1955, include Lauren Bacall, Michael Douglas, Michael Keaton, Martin Scorsese, and Meryl Streep.
