Following an explosive rant blasting Twitch for banning him from its platform due to his remark, the record producer says in his apology that Twitch has 'every right' to do it.

AceShowbiz - It takes Deadmau5 a little while before he fully realizes that what he did was wrong and offensive to people. Following an explosive rant criticizing Twitch for banning him due to his use of homophobic slur, the record producer took to Reddit on Thursday, February 14 to issue an apology for his insensitive remarks.

"I needed a little cool down there for a few and seriously reflect on all this," he wrote on the forum, expressing how ashamed he was. "I know what I said was wrong, and my hastily composed non-apology was an insult to injury. I realize that trying to somewhat dismiss it as 'gamer culture' was even worse. I don't know what I did that. But I do know it was stupid and insensitive and I feel even more ashamed. This was my worst moment."

Deadmau5 went on saying that Twitch had "every right" to ban him for using the slur. Assuring fans that he isn't a homophobe, he added, "What I said was incredibly stupid, and I don't actually hold beliefs, at all. I let some gamer get the best of me, and in that moment I completely lost control. And me lashing back with some knee-jerk post about how it may have seemed unjustified... was completely unfair to Twitch and its viewers. So I apologize for that."

Concluding his statement, Deadmau5 said, "Apologies once again to everyone I've disappointed. I would love nothing more than to finally be at peace with myself and be the best human being I can be, trust me. Being 'mr. I don't give a fuck' is not someone I ever aspired to be." The "I Remember" producer additionally said that he would take his time off game-streaming to "focus on cubes and music."

Deadmau5 landed in hot water for using homophobic slur after he was beaten by a player on PlayerUnknown's Battleground. Instead of apologizing, he went on full rant blasting Twitch for banning him due to the remarks. "I don't have to f***ing sit here and cry and defend my f***ing self with the obligatory 'I'M NOT THAT PERSON I'M SORRY,' " he said.
