It's not surprising to see AMC and Netflix sharing the 'Breaking Bad' follow-up since the two outlets share the credit for the success of the original series.

AceShowbiz - More details about "Breaking Bad" TV movie have emerged online. The feature-length project, which is set to serve as a sequel, will air on both Netflix and AMC, according to Deadline.
"Breaking Bad" originally aired on AMC, but the streaming giant and AMC will reportedly have their roles reversed. The upcoming movie, which will center on Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman, will air on Netflix first before going to AMC.
It's not surprising to see AMC and Netflix sharing the "Breaking Bad" follow-up since the two outlets share the credit for the success of the original series. The neo-western crime drama ran for five seasons on AMC with seasons subsequently made available for streaming on Netflix.
The new project allegedly will be written by original series creator Vince Gilligan. Additionally, he will serve as executive producer alongside franchise collaborators Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein. Gilligan is also said to helm the movie.
Previous report stated that the upcoming sequel would be set the events of the series finale in which saw Jesse Pinkman blazing a trail away from that horrifying finale. With that being said, the site states that Aaron will make a grand return for the project, which is going to be developed as a TV movie. The reported loglines of the movie suggested that it would "[track] the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom."
Although the production team of the movie is being secretive of the project, Bryan Cranston appeared to confirm that the movie is indeed in the works. Speaking on "The Dan Patrick Show", the Walter White depicter said, "It's a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open [in the series finale]. This idea, from what I'm told, gets into those -- at least a couple of the character show were not completed, as far as their journey."
Craston, however, was not sure his character would make an appearance in the movie. He would "absolutely" appear if Gilligan asked him to. "If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. He's a genius," he explained.
"I don't know if there's an appearance -- flashbacks, flash forwards -- but I'm excited about it because it's 'Breaking Bad' and it was the greatest professional period of my life and I can't wait to see all those people again, even if I just come by to visit," Cranston added.
