Instead of delving deeper into the gender reveal of her unborn baby, the 'I Feel Pretty' star goes on to talk about her new Netflix comedy special, 'Amy Schumer Growing', that will air in March.

AceShowbiz - Amy Schumer "doesn't care" about the gender of her unborn baby.

The actress and comedian, 37, is expecting her first child with husband, chef Chris Fischer, in April. Amy has been keeping fans updated about the pregnancy progress on her social media pages, and took to Instagram on Tuesday to tease her followers with a gender reveal - before using the video to instead announce her new Netflix comedy special, "Amy Schumer Growing".

"Hi guys, it's me, Amy," she began, while taking bites of a donut while holding a donut shaped mug. "I know it probably seems like I've been pregnant for a thousand years, but I've been working really hard. It's not all relaxing and eating donuts."

The star, who is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of extreme morning sickness, had her hair scraped up into a messy bun, and was sat outside in the sunshine wearing a blue vest.

"What I want to announce is the baby's gender, which we're so excited to say, we don't care what the gender is. Any way the baby identifies is cool with us, as long as it doesn't identify as a DJ," Amy deadpanned. "Cause that's heartbreaking."

She was forced to cancel some stand-up shows back in November, as she battled with pregnancy sickness, and was even hospitalised.

Now feeling better, Amy revealed she filmed her new comedy special in Chicago, and told fans she is "very proud" of the result.

The comedienne has a few more work commitments to complete before putting her feet up ahead of her delivery date, wrapping up her latest stand-up tour in Austin, Texas on 3 March.

According to Netflix, the comedy special will focus on her marriage, pregnancy and "personal growth", and will air on the streaming service on 19 March.
