Before deactivating her social media account, the 'Bodak Yellow' hitmaker also posts a video of her telling fans that she is sharing her Best Rap Album prize with the late Mac Miller.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B has deleted her Instagram account after her history-making Grammys win turned her into a target for trolls on Monday, February 11.

The 26-year-old rapper became the first female artist to win the Best Rap Album honour at Sunday's ceremony, and it appears the hip-hop world is far from happy.

After taking knock after knock on social media from fans of her fellow nominees, she decided enough was enough at deactivated her account.

"I f**king worked my a** off, locked myself in the studio for 3 months, didn't go to sleep in my own bed, sometimes for 4 days straight - pregnant!" Cardi explained in a deleted video.

Earlier in the day she announced she was sharing her Grammy Award with late rapper and fellow nominee Mac Miller, after learning his parents, who attended the Grammys to honour their son, were rooting for her.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper took to social media to thank her followers and pay tribute to Miller.

"I read an article that Mac Miller family said that if he don't win, they wanted me to win so I'm sharing this Grammy with you... (sic)," she said in a video posted on her now-nixed Instagram account. "Rest in peace, thank you to everyone."

Her message came after Miller's ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande hit headlines after tweeting the word "trash" and "literal bulls**t" as Cardi B accepted her award. She has since deleted the tweets, insisting the message wasn't directed at the rapper.

"nothing to do w (with) her. good for her. i promise. i'm sorry," she wrote.

Cardi has yet to comment on the posts.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old had another reason to celebrate over the weekend after her seven-month-old daughter Kulture said "mama" for the first time.

"Oh my god, oh my god," she said before bursting out in tears over the magical moment. "After a week of only saying papa! She saying mama! Happy 7 months Kulture! We love you (sic)," she captioned the video.
