Mo'Nique Confirms Wanting to 'Punch' Steve Harvey on His Show

'I ain't no slap b***h, I'm a punch,' the Oscar-winning comedian goes on joking as she reveals that she and the host are always like a brother and a sister.

AceShowbiz - Mo'Nique has addressed rumors of her getting into a heated altercation during her filming on Steve Harvey's talk show "The Steve Harvey Show". Mo'Nique was said to be threatening to punch the host in the face, and now the singer apparently confirms that it's true.

The comedian/actress went on YouTube Live with her husband Sidney Hicks. In the video, Mo'Nique began, "So we're doing promotions for the residency in Vegas, 'Mo'Nique Does Vegas'. And I go to my brother's show to 'Steve Harvey Show'." She then noted that she and Steve had known for each other for over 25 years, and that they had "a very real and honest conversation" during the taping.

"It was I think one of those kind of conversations that may have taken off-guard because they were really seeing a brother and a sister really talk. And the way Steve Harvey and I have always got down, baby. From the first time we met, I've always threatened Steve Harvey with a kick, a bang, a smack, a push, a shove, out of brother and sisterly love," she continued saying. "So when I went to 'The Steve Harvey Show' it was no different," she added while laughing.

"My brother got to talking up on me, I talked up on him back," she went on saying. She insisted that it was not them arguing, but more like "a brother and sister talking and mommy and daddy just happened not to be here." Mo'Nique, however, denied that she threatened to slap Harvey. Instead, she said, "I'm going to punch you in your mouth!"

"I ain't no slap b***h, I'm a punch," Mo'Nique went on joking. She assured once again that was how her and Steve had always gotten down. Additionally, she shut down rumors of Sidney being all ready to jump on Steve during the alleged altercation because Sidney was in Atlanta during the filming.

The Jasmine Brand previously claimed that Mo'Nique and Steve got into a heated argument during the show as they discussed the latter's controversial remarks about Whoopi Goldberg. Steve allegedly urged the comedienne and actress to apologize to "The View" co-host after calling her "the help" in a recent interview.

"She threatened to hit Steve in the face," a source claimed to the site. "He told her if she hit him, her husband would have to come out and square off."

Another source noted to MTO News that it was hard not to notice the tension. "There was a lot of tension in the room. Mo'Nique looked like she was ready to put hands on Steve," the source claimed.
