Many speculate that the disgraced singer has canceled his plan to go on tour to Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka after he deletes the tour announcement.

AceShowbiz - It looks like R. Kelly has scraped his plans to go on an overseas tour. Hours after the disgraced singer announced on social media he would travel to Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka for a tour he dubbed "The King of R&B", he deleted the post. It prompted people to speculate that he had canceled the trek.

It remains unknown what led him to delete the post.

This arrives after he received a huge backlash over the tour announcement, with many urging others not to buy the tickets and support Kelly. "He needs to accept the fact that his career is over," one said. "No, Australia, just No!!! This guy is a major child molester, come on!" another comment read. One other simply asked, "Shouldn't you be in jail?"

Australia's opposition party has also called for the government to ban the singer from entering country by blocking any visa application. "Labor strongly supports the refusal or cancellation of visas of non-citizens on character or criminal grounds," the opposition party said in a statement.

"If the Immigration Minister suspects that a non-citizen does not pass the character test, or there is a risk to the community while they are in Australia, he should use the powers he has under the Migration act to deny or cancel their visa," senior opposition lawmaker Shayne Neumann added in a statement obtained by the Associated Press.

Kelly has come under intense scrutiny in the wake of Lifetime's docu-series "Surviving R. Kelly", that features interviews with women who claim that the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer sexually abused women and young girls for a decade. Since the premiere of the series, a campaign called #MuteRKelly was launched, and several of his past collaborators, including Lady GaGa and Celine Dion, deleted their duets with the singer from streaming services.
