The first time collaboration of the former supermodel and Sailor Brinkley Cook on the catwalk will be the highlight of designer Elie Tahari's 45th anniversary show on February 7.

AceShowbiz - Ageless Christie Brinkley will hit the New York Fashion Week catwalk with her daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook.

Mother and daughter are set to star in designer Elie Tahari's show on Thursday, February 07, marking the first time they have hit the runway together.

The historic fashion moment will be the highlight of Tahari's 45th anniversary show, and he is so excited to see the IMG Models pair in his latest creations.

The designer, who is credited with popularising disco wear in the 1970s and women's suits in the 1980s, tells Page Six, "The Elie Tahari brand has always been for every woman, and that is why I'm so excited about having Christie and Sailor walk in our show because Christie is timeless, and Sailor represents the cool, on-the-go woman, who also wears our clothes."

"It is important for me to make clothes for women of all types, inclusive of any age."

Fashion Week brings 20-year-old Sailor back home to the U.S. from Australia, where she has been modelling for months.

Christie recently opened up about her concerns for her daughter, revealing she witnessed a home invasion within days of arriving in Australia.

"The first call I get from her (Sailor says): 'Mum, Mum, there's two guys in my door, one is shirtless with a ski mask over his head and they're banging on the neighbour's door!'" the worried mum told "Extra".

Christie's mothering instincts kicked in to protect her daughter and she told Sailor to keep her doors locked - and then took immediate action by finding her kid a new place.

"(I jumped to) get her out of that building," the 64-year-old shared.

But things continued to go downhill for Sailor with Christie revealing: "The next call was she got the flu, and I was like, 'We are off to a bumpy start'."
