Some of the scenes in the visuals feature the singer getting her hair pulled and her back injected with unmarked syringes.

AceShowbiz - Prepare some blankets to cover your sight, guys, because Billie Eilish's latest music video is just straight out a horror show. The blue-haired rising star has just released the first taste of her long-awaited debut album along with its accompanying video, "Bury a Friend".

Making its way out on Wednesday, January 30, the Michael Chaves-directed visuals opens with a man waking up from a nightmare before the camera pans to show a possessed Billie under his bed. After asking, "What do you want for me?/ Why don't you run for me?" the songstress proceeds to stalk the halls of the dingy apartment complex and haunts its residents.

A mob of hands clad in black rubber gloves later take Billie to an isolation room by force, pulling her hair and ripping her shirt before injecting her with unmarked syringes. The scenes continues to repeat for some time, before Billie is finally seen in the clip levitating. She then disappears from underneath the bed.

"Bury a Friend" itself talks about a confusing relationship with this "entity" and ambiguously sets her up to be the monster itself. The singer said of the song, " 'Bury a Friend' is literally from the perspective of the monster under my bed. If you put yourself in that mindset, what is this creature doing or feeling? I also confess that I'm this monster, because I'm my own worst enemy. I might be the monster under your bed, too."

The song is among the new material from her upcoming debut album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?". Billie additionally shared that "Bury a Friend" inspired the rest of the album. "When we made 'Bury a Friend', the whole album clicked in my head. I immediately knew what it was going to be about, what the visuals were going to be, and everything in terms of how I wanted it to be perceived," she said. "It inspired what the album is about."

Billie's debut effort is set for a March 29 release.
