'You are an example of when comedy turns to sarcasm and cynicism,' tweets the 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' actor months after 'The Hughleys' star questioned his sexual assault allegations against Adam Venit.

AceShowbiz - Terry Crews has hit back after comedian D.L. Hughley questioned his sexual assault allegations.

The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor alleged Hollywood agent Adam Venit touched him inappropriately at a party in 2016, leading to Venit apologising and resigning from the William Morris Endeavor agency over the incident.

Following Crews' allegations, comedian Hughley gave an interview to Vlad TV back in August 2018 in which he was asked to weigh in on the scandal - at which point he questioned why the famously buff actor didn't stop the assault from taking place.

"I think it's hard for me to think that a dude with all those muscles can't tell an agent to not touch his ass," Hughley said. "I don't understand. I think that now everybody's so into this notion that, 'It happened to me to me too.' Hey, motherf**ker,God gave you muscles so you could say no and mean it."

Five months on, and "The Expendables" star decided to respond to Hughley's remarks on Twitter on Sunday, January 27. Sharing a link to a video of the interview, Crews wrote: "You told the world 'God Gave Me Muscles So I Could Say No' Are you implying I 'wanted' to be sexually assaulted? I'm listening, sir... Sir you said I should have pushed him back, or restrained him and I DID ALL THOSE THINGS... but you act like I didn't. Were you there?"

Addressing Hughley's claims that he should have used violence to stop the assault from happening, Crews hit back: "So sir... If you truly feel that is a correct way to deal with toxic behaviour... Should I slap the s**t out of you?"

Clearly unwilling to apologise, Hughley replied: "That's different than slapping the s**t outa him."

But Crews continued to slam the funnyman, insisting that while he had once respected him - his opinion of him has now drastically changed.

"I have looked up to you my whole career as one of the funniest, most talented people I've ever seen," he wrote. "But now you are an example of when comedy turns to sarcasm and cynicism. And you find it extremely easy to get jokes at someone else (sic) expense. You mock my success, but all I ever did was support you."

Concluding his rant, Crews also addressed the other stars who have questioned his sexual assault allegations, writing: "You @50cent @unclerush and @tariqnasheed have decided my sexual assault was hilarious, whereas there are a whole generation of black women and men who don't think it's funny."

"ABUSERS PROTECT ABUSERS but they MOCK SURVIVORS as well. When you see me, keep it moving."
