Should the report be true, the disgraced singer will be violating the Mann Act in transporting a minor across state lines for sex.

AceShowbiz - An update on the ongoing sexual misconduct accusation against R. Kelly has surfaced. Words are, FBI is now investigating the disgraced singer after it was revealed on "Surviving R. Kelly" that the singer flew one of his alleged victims, Azriel Clary, from California to Orlando on May 25, 2015. She was still 17 at the time.

While the act itself were not a crime, the "I Believe I Can Fly" hitmaker allegedly flew her out with an intend to have sex with her when she was still underage. Thus, it means that he would be violating the Mann Act in transporting a minor across state lines for sex. According to TMZ, which first reported the story, one of Kelly's assistants was said to have set up the flight in his stead.

However, sources close to Kelly defended the singer by saying that he did nothing wrong since Clary's mom, Alice, gave permission for the daughter to be flown out across the country. The sources additionally provided a note that the alleged victim's family wrote to give Kelly's assistant consent to care for Clary "until December 30, 2015."

Interestingly enough, the consent note was dated several months after the time the flight took place.

Clary was an aspiring singer who met Kelly at the age of 17. At the time, she also began working with the "Ignition" singer. According to her parents in an episode of "Surviving R. Kelly", she stopped contacting them as soon as she turned 18 and moved into his studio in Chicago, where Kelly allegedly housed his rumored sex cult.

Her parents haven't seen her in over three years, and their attempts to get in contact with her were featured in the last two episodes of the docu-series. Despite teaming up with other parents and calling the police for a wellness check, their attempt to see their daughter failed.
