Taking the high road, the actor/comedian decides to help the man he's feuding with on Twitter after learning that he is suffering from a number of medical conditions.

AceShowbiz - Patton Oswalt is giving a financial relief to a man he is feuding with on Twitter. On Thursday, January 24, the actor behind the voice of Remy in "Ratatouille" revealed that he has chosen to make a donation to Michael Beatty, who has been trolling him on social media for his Donald Trump's joke, after learning about the latter's medical condition.

The goodwill story began with the 49-year-old actor/comedian's latest post targeting the U.S. President. "You like pomes? I like pomes too! Here's a pome I wroted," he tweeted on Wednesday, January 23. "ROSES ARE RED, TOMMY SHAW WAS IN STYX, YOU'RE GOING TO RESIGN, EAT A BUCKET OF DICKS."

It was soon met with a number of criticisms. One in particular came from Beatty who replied, "I just realized why I was so happy you died in Blade Trinity!" A few minutes later, the Twitter user threw another jab at the actor by writing, "And you shoot basketball ike the sawed off little man you are."

Oswalt first responded to Beatty's attacks with a joke. However, upon learning more of the man, he tweeted, "Aw, man. This dude just attacked me on Twitter and I joked back but then I looked at his timeline and he's in a LOT of trouble health-wise. I'd be pissed off too. He's been dealt some shitty cards - let's deal him some good ones. Click and donate - just like I'm about to."

Apparently, Beatty had suffered from Sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis and coma. He has a GoFundMe page, asking help to pay for his medical bills for a total $5,000. "I was in the hospital from 12/12/2018 through 12/26/2018. I was in critical condition w/Sepsis. I coded twice in the ER but came right back," his description page read.

Oswalt proved he was serious with his Twitter announcement, and donated $2,000 to Beatty's GoFundMe page, making him the biggest donator. His act of goodwill was soon followed by many others. At the time of this publication, Beatty's campaign to pay for his medical bills has collected more than $23,500.

Feeling rightfully ashamed yet grateful for Oswalt's generosity, Beatty took to Twitter told the actor, "You have humbled me to the point where I can barely compose my words. You have caused me to take pause and reflect on how harmful words from my mouth could result in such an outpouring. Thank you for this and I will pass this on to my cousin who needs help. A cascade."

Minutes later, Beatty posted another appreciative tweet. "I want to thank everyone who came to my aid with generous outpourings- and also to @pattonoswalt without whom I would not be the recipient of so much love and support," he wrote. "I'm not a man who ever cries but I had to wait to send this. And to quote Stuart on Big Bang 'meat tonight'!"

Beatty's touching post led the "Young Adult" actor to remind his followers on the result of positivity. "See, THIS is why compassion and forgiveness are the best," he wrote, before joking, "wait, you CRIED?!? You f***in' p***y! Donation CANCELLED." Taking the jest in good spirit, Beatty replied, "Ok I didn't cry! A gnat flew in one eye and made it tear up!!"
