Cops reportedly find the alleged victim's statement to them 'weak,' that's why Chris was released without bail.

AceShowbiz - There's a strong reason why Chris Brown remains calm and unfazed after being accused of rape by a woman in Paris. Besides believing that he's innocent, that's probably because he knows police are on his side in this case.

According to TMZ, cops find the accuser's story almost impossible to believe. A source allegedly directly connected to the case tells the site, "The weakest part of the case is the alleged victim's statement to police."

In her version of the story, the 24-year-old woman who is a model claims that Chris raped her in his hotel suite dressing room for somewhere between 25 and 30 minutes. She then went into another room where she was raped again by one of Chris' friends, and she was "abused" for the third time in another room.

It doesn't seem to make sense to the cops because she never attempted to leave or tell about 20 other people who were in the hotel suite. That's reportedly why cops decided to release Chris without any conditions, including surrendering his passport. A source close to the "Forever" hitmaker says that police even apologized as they let him go.

Though so, the investigation is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, Chris shows no fear at all despite the allegations. He was still spotted in Paris on Wednesday night, January 23 to shoot a new music video on the street. He reportedly planned to leave on Thursday after completing the music video shoot and was still staying at the same hotel where the alleged incident was reported taking place.

A source from Chris' team says, "An innocent man shouldn't be worried about staying at a place where he didn't commit a crime." He has also hit back at the alleged victim with a defamation lawsuit, which was filed by his lawyer on Thursday, asking for a criminal charge for the "slanderous accusation" of rape that she claimed took place between January 15 and 16.

Chris previously denied the allegations on Instagram. He wrote, "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!"

He has got moral support from his celebrity pals, including T.I., The Game, Ray J and Justin Bieber.

Meanwhile, the accuser has spoken up about her decision to report Chris to police. Speaking to French publication Le Parisien, she claimed that she did it for justice, not for money. "These people think they have every right, because they're bling-bling stars," she said. "I want justice... And I know that in the end, justice will recognize that what I said is true."
