AceShowbiz - As fans continue waiting for the day Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will be released from jail, they are treated to a video of the reality TV star's final moments before beginning his prison sentence. His wife, Lauren Pesce, shared on Monday, January 21 a clip which documented their last moments together on the drive to the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution.
Mike looked surprisingly calm and peaceful in the brief video, staring out of the window. He could be heard in voiceover opening up about his thoughts ahead of his prison sentence as well as his plans to come out as new man. "The day before was the only day I felt any anxiety," the "Jersey Shore" star said. "Today I have a sense of just happy to put this behind me."
"I'm gonna workout every day, get in shape, and get ready to go back and film season three [of 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation] -- that's it," he continued. "The situation will reveal himself in 2019. Currently under construction, but will be revealed. Under new management now." Telling fans he was trying to stay strong amidst the difficult time, Mike said, "You can't show weakness in such a situation."
The two-minute clip additionally showed Mike and Lauren making one last stop at Starbucks to get one last drink before eight months of prison food. Before getting out of car, Mike and Lauren shared a heartfelt hug for a long while and locked lips. He then stepped out into the daylight and walked towards the institution.
Mike was sentenced to eight months in prison after pleasing guilty to one count of tax evasion in January 2018. He began his jail sting last week, as Lauren shared to fans that her husband was "doing great." She revealed that Mike received "thousand of letters" since he began his prison sentence, but was unable to reply to them one by one. Still, he felt very grateful for the support.
