After the New Orleans Saints got defeated by the Los Angeles Rams, the 'Harry' host shares a letter he wrote for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to complain about 'disgraceful' officiating.

AceShowbiz - Harry Connick Jr. has vowed not to watch this year's Super Bowl after his football team missed out on a place at the sporting final.

On Sunday, January 20, the New Orleans Saints were narrowly defeated by the Los Angeles Rams, meaning they won't be playing at the Super Bowl on February 3.

While Saints fans were disappointed, New Orleans native Harry felt especially let down by the National Football League's (NFL) officiating during the game. And he let NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell know just how angry he was in an open letter on Instagram.

"Dear Commissioner Goodell," he began. "Please know that I would have written this letter regardless of which teams were playing in the NFC championship."

He went on to say that he loves the game off football, but there were glaring errors during Sunday's game.

"To not call the pass interference/helmet-to/helmet penalties at the end of the game was one of the most disgraceful no-calls I have ever seen," the singer wrote in reference to Rams' Nickell Robey-Coleman's break up of a pass to Saints wide receiver Tommylee Lewis.

He adds that, in his opinion, the officiating has been mediocre all season.

"But for a game as important as the NFC (National Football Conference) championship, it sickens me to know that the people who are assigned to fairly officiate the game seemingly had no regard for not only a dangerous penalty but one that would certainly have changed the outcome of the game, " he vented.

"Until changes are made, specifically booth review of outcome-altering non-calls, you can count me out. I'm not watching the AFC championship game, and I won't be watching the Super Bowl."

Harry added in a note to his followers that he also plans on mailing the letter on Monday.

The Los Angeles Rams will take on the American Football Conference champion, and five-time Super Bowl winners, New England Patriots at the 2019 Super Bowl.
