Dressed as Alexander Hamilton whom Lin-Manuel portrays in the musical, the 'Tonight Show' host joins the actor for a rendition of 'The Story of Tonight' to promote the show's run in Puerto Rico.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon has performed a number from hit musical "Hamilton" alongside its creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
A run of the stage musical is currently taking place in Puerto Rico, with the proceeds from the shows benefitting the Flamboyan Arts Fund in support of arts in the island nation, which is still recovering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in late 2017.
To promote the performances, Jimmy dedicated an episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to the cause on Tuesday night (January 15), and to kick off proceedings, he joined Lin-Manuel onstage for a rendition of "The Story of Tonight", with the both of them portraying Alexander Hamilton, the lead character inspired by the U.S. founding father.
Dressed in matching costumes, including ruffled white shirts and brown coats, the pair belted out the tune, though changed some of the lyrics for the night.
Instead of singing, "Telling the story of tonight," Jimmy sang the words, "We've got a killer show tonight," and rather than stating, "They'll tell the story of tonight," the pair chose to sing, "In Puerto Rico for tonight."
For the Puerto Rico shows, Lin-Manuel has reprised his role in the musical for the first time since he left the original Broadway cast in 2016.
However, during a chat with Jimmy later in the programme Lin-Manuel, who turned 39 on Wednesday, explained that it felt necessary to return, especially to support his family members still living there.
"It's kind of poetic justice for it to come to Puerto Rico," Jimmy commented, while the "Mary Poppins Returns" star added, "There's a song in this show called 'Hurricane' and I could barely get through it last night. Never in a million years would I imagine it would resonate in this way."
Elsewhere in the episode, Jimmy joined members of his house band The Roots and Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny for a performance of the musician's hit "MIA", with the group joined by many locals.
