When talking about the pressure on women to get pregnant after getting married, the wife of Tom Ackerley admits the existence of the social contract made her really angry.

AceShowbiz - Margot Robbie gets "so angry" when people presume she'll get pregnant now that she's a married woman.

The 28-year-old actress wed filmmaker Tom Ackerley in 2016, and has been pestered with questions about when they'll start their family ever since. And in an interview with the Radio Times magazine, Margot drew comparisons with her Elizabeth I character in "Mary Queen of Scots" as she discussed the pressure on women to procreate.

"It made me really angry; how dare some old guy dictate what I can and can't do when it comes to motherhood or my own body?" she raged. "Unfortunately, it's a conversation we're still having."

"I got married, and the first question in almost every interview is 'Babies? When are you having one?' I'm so angry that there's this social contract. You're married, now have a baby. Don't presume. I'll do what I'm going to do."

The "I, Tonya" star's interview comes just months after she told Porter magazine that she wasn't ready to become a mother.

Asked if she was thinking about having children during the chat last November (18), Margot replied: "No! Definitely not. Three days ago my husband stopped by a dog shelter on the way back from the airport, and we now have a pitbull puppy. We already have a two-year-old who still acts like a puppy. I love him but he's a handful, and for the last three days I haven't slept."

"I'm like, 'We're fostering her for the week', and my husband's saying 'No! We're keeping her' and I'm saying, 'We absolutely cannot and if anything, you are now cementing in my mind that we cannot have kids. I can't cope with two puppies, let alone children.'"
