An update on her Instagram account reveals that Ashley has undergone a surgery place a catheter into her abdomen to begin peritoneal dialysis as her husband Jay Smith has rushed to the hospital to be with her.

AceShowbiz - "90 Day Fiance" star Ashley Martson is still in the hospital after kidney failure due to her lupus. On Tuesday, January 15, an update on her condition was shared on her Instagram page, revealing that she recently underwent a surgery before getting dialysis in an attempt to avoid kidney transplant.

"Ashley underwent surgery where they placed a catheter into her abdomen. This is for access site to begin peritoneal dialysis today," read the statement likely posted by her close one. "Doctors are hopeful that dialysis will be temporary and that it will aid in helping her kidneys repair themselves. There is a chance she can go home tomorrow and be looked after by home health care nurses."

The statement went on asking Ashley's fans and followers to "please continue to pray that this works and that Ashley will not need a kidney transplant. Either way Ashley will be down for quite some time. Please continue to pray for Ashley and if you are able to help I know Ashley is very appreciative."

Those who want to give financial support to Ashley can visit a GoFundMe page that has been set up to cover her medical bills and to care for her two children, as Ashley will not be able to work for months due to her health issues. More than $2,000 has been raised in two days.

Meanwhile, her husband Jay Smith has rushed to the hospital to be by her side despite their rocky relationship. He posted on his Instagram page a picture of him holding his wife's hand on the hospital bed.

He wrote in the caption, "I may have hurt you. I may have not been a good husband. Jumping on a plane the second I found out you was in the hospital was something I didn't even think twice to do. We have our differences but as long as I have life I will never let you sit alone and suffer. I love you and nothing will ever change that. Thank you for having me here to support you."

Ashley was rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning, January 13 after being found unresponsive at her home. Doctors later told her that she was suffering from acute kidney failure due to complications from lupus.

Sharing a picture from the hospital, the reality TV star wrote, "I will not let this beat me. I know I'm strong enough to battle through this,not just for myself but for my kids. I will be transferred to another hospital this evening that is better equipped. Please pray for myself and my family as I know it's going to be a very tough road ahead for all of us."

Ashley was previously hospitalized over Christmas due to lupus flare, days after it was revealed that her husband Jay cheated on her. In the December 23 episode of the TLC series, Ashley found out that Jay was messaging multiple women on dating application Tinder the day after their Las Vegas wedding.
