While admitting that her sex life with husband Brooks Laich has been affected by the chronic disorder she suffered, the 'Bigger' actress claims they didn't let it deprive them of intimacy.

AceShowbiz - Julianne Hough's painful endometriosis battle is testing her sex life.

The "Footloose" star, who was previously a regular professional on hit TV competition show "Dancing with the Stars", was diagnosed with the chronic disorder, which occurs when tissue grows outside of the uterus, in her early 20s, several years after she first started experiencing symptoms when she was 15.

She has become one of the leading voices for women suffering from endometriosis and, in husband Brooks Laich, Julianne has found a partner who goes out of his way to make her feel comfortable when she's in pain - but her condition is really affecting the couple's sex life.

Hough tells Women's Health magazine, "It can definitely cut things short. Sometimes we're in the middle and I'm just like, 'Ah, stop!'"

"It can be really frustrating. He (Laich) only wants to love on me and make me feel good."

But the couple, which wed in 2017, refuses to let the condition kill the romance in the bedroom.

"There's so much intimacy without actually having sex," Julianne adds, revealing foreplay helps to keep things intimate between her and her husband. "There are some cool things we've learned and it's literally been awesome."

Meanwhile, Julianne has a big 2019 planned - she and Kimberly Williams-Paisley recently joined the cast of Dolly Parton's anthology series on Netflix.

Hough will play "Jolene" in an episode of the "Dolly Parton's Heartstrings" series, which is inspired by the country singer's hit songs, while Williams-Paisley will play the wife and mother trying to reason with her husband's mistress, who is threatening to steal her man away from the family - as per the lyrics of Dolly's hit 1973 song. Parton will also appear in the film, as bar owner Babe.

The Jolene episode will be part of an eight-show series, which will premiere on the streaming service later this year (19).
