AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen's attempt to play bartender at the recently-wrapped Critics' Choice Awards didn't go really well. The cookbook author only got behind the bar at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California for a short while before she was "scolded" by a staff member who later told her to leave the area.
In a video which was posted on the awards' official Twitter account, Chrissy was seen trying to inspect the booze on offer behind the bar. Before the mother of two could get her hands on anything and poured herself and her friend a drink, a female staff member appeared out of nowhere to tell her off and usher her away.
The "Lip Sync Battle" co-host could only bow her head as she took her leave, rushing to John Legend's side who was already waiting for her. Telling the "All of Me" hitmaker what just happened, Chrissy looked noticeably embarrassed.
Chrissy surely had it rough that night. In addition to getting scolded for attempting to work her mixology magic, the supermodel expressed her regret for joining her husband to the award-giving event when they were just finished partying. "Why oh why god did I agree to the people or critics choice whatever it is the night after John's party," she said. "This was a big mistake huge yes this is a fancy problem."
Prior to attending the 2019 Critics' Choice Awards, John and Chrissy were celebrating the former's 40th birthday at their home in Beverly Hills, California. According to E! News, the dance floor at the James Bond-themed party was packed with people all night long, and even the couple's daughter Luna couldn't resist the temptation to dance.
At one point, Chrissy was said to be taking over the DJ booth to thank their guests, who included the Kardashian family members, for coming. "Then they all sang 'Happy Birthday' to John and he loved it. Everyone seemed to have amazing night," said the inside source.
