Expressing their disappointment, many fans take to social media to accuse the 'Distance' singer of putting profit before taking a stand against sexual misconduct.

AceShowbiz - R&B star Omarion has come under fire on social media after vowing to retire the B2K songs written by R. Kelly - but only after the boyband's reunion tour is over.

The 34 year old took to Twitter on Monday, January 07, to weigh in on the controversial music veteran following the U.S. broadcast of damning documentary "Surviving R. Kelly", which chronicled the sex crimes levelled against the "Ignition (Remix)" hitmaker.

In a series of posts, Omarion admitted he has not seen the headline-grabbing series, but has been disturbed by the allegations, and insisted Kelly must be "held accountable" and "get professional help" for his reported actions.

The "Ice Box" singer, who is father to two-year-old daughter A'mei, goes on to explain that although he and his B2K bandmates plan to perform "Bump Bump Bump", "What a Girl Wants", and "Girlfriend" - tracks penned and produced by Kelly - on their upcoming 2019 "The Millennium Tour", he will never play the songs again once the shows are done.

"While I know our fans would be greatly disappointed if we didn't perform those songs on #TheMillennoumTour (sic), after the tour I am retiring those songs from my set list," he concluded. "I too am raising a future queen..."

However, Omarion's decision to wait until after the B2K concerts to drop the tracks from his repertoire have drawn heavy criticism on social media, with many followers accusing him of cashing in on the tunes before taking a stand.

"Unbelievable so you gone profit off the mans (sic) work what type of stance is that?" one fan wrote, while another added, "'But first I'm gonna get this bag (money)' is basically what he's saying."

A third person replied, "Nope! Disappointed. I was so excited to see this tour. But absolutely not supporting your 'get money and THEN I'll give a hell no'."

Omarion and his B2K pals have yet to respond to the backlash. They are set to launch "The Millennium Tour" in March, 15 years after calling it quits. They will be supported on the road by special guests like Mario, Pretty Ricky, Lloyd, the Ying Yang Twins, and Chingy.

Meanwhile, Kelly has vehemently denied the accusations of sexual misconduct explored in the Lifetime series, and has threatened legal action against producers.

It was claimed that he was also planning to fight back against his alleged victims by exposing their "lies" on a new Facebook page, but it appears that profile has already been shut down by platform officials.

A page called Surviving Lies popped up on the social media network over the weekend, January 05-06, with advertisements taking aim at Kelly's accusers and promoting a forthcoming website designed to discredit the women, but by Monday afternoon, the profile had been removed by Facebook bosses for violating "community standards".

"We do not tolerate bullying or sharing someone's private contact information and take action on content that violates our policies as soon as we're aware," a Facebook representative told Buzzfeed.

It's not clear if Kelly or his team of publicists were directly involved in the Surviving Lies page.
