The 'Watch What Happens Live' host has an on-air meltdown after he is being told to lose his umbrella while it was raining in Times Square, calling the order 'some Grade A B.S.'

AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen shared exciting news during CNN’s live New Year’s Eve show which he co-hosted alongside Anderson Cooper. The "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" host announced to everyone the sex of his first baby.

"I remember last year thinking, 'Wow! Will my baby be born this year?' This is the biggest year for me," the soon-to-be father said. When asked if he wanted to reveal the gender of his baby, Andy proudly said, "It's a boy."

"It's a boy. And, I gotta tell you something, I can't wait to meet this boy. I am so excited I barely think about anything else," he told Anderson about his baby, who is soon to come via surrogate. "I just never thought that it would be possible as a gay man to have a family. And, then here we are in 2018, nearly [2019], and anything is possible. I turned 50 years old this year, and it takes some people longer to get to this place and it took me this time."

Andy announced that he's expecting his first child on December 20 during an episode of his talk show. "Tonight I want to share a little personal news of my own," he said at the end of the final live broadcast of 2018. "Tonight I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I'm going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future."

Back to his hosting gig on CNN’s live New Year’s Eve show, the broadcast showed him having an on-air meltdown after he was being told to lose his umbrella while it was raining in Times Square. Blasting the Times Square Alliance, the 50-year-old said, "It's more than drizzling in Times Square. It's not putting a damper on anything, but I will say this: I had this umbrella."

"The lady from the Times Square Alliance came over and said, 'You have to get rid of the umbrella,' off the air. And I said, 'I won't do it,' " he continued ranting. Andersoon chimed in, "This has been going on for an hour and a half already. He was like, 'What are you gonna do -- arrest me?' " to which Andy responded, "Yeah, I go, 'Get the paddy wagon cause that's what it's going to take.' But now they are threatening to pull CNN's spot from the credential, from Times Square, for next year." Andy then went on calling the order "some Grade A B.S., honestly."
