The series, created by the Duffer Brothers, also unveils a new poster that is seemingly trying to convey a message.

AceShowbiz - In 1985, the people of Hawkins, Indiana on "Stranger Things" are also ringing in the New Year. According to a new teaser for season 3, which is set in 1985, of the hit Netflix series, they are watching "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" before something seemingly goes wrong with the TV transmission.

The new video features host Clark telling audience, "20 seconds and the big apple will drop," before announcing that it is one of the biggest events that has ever happened. But later the video glitches and shows a message that reads, "When blue and yellow meet in the West."

After going back and forth between "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" and the messages, the screen starts to shift. It begins to be switched upside down. It can also be heard that Mike screams Eleven's name for an unknown reason.

Towards the end of the teaser, fireworks are seen before another messages flickers on the screen. "One summer can change everything...," it says.

In addition, "Stranger Things" reveals the release date of the much-anticipated season 3. The new season of the science fiction-horror series is set to arrive on July 4 on Netflix.

The series, created by the Duffer Brothers, also unveils a new poster. The new poster shows Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) holding hands with Mike (Finn Wolfhard). Meanwhile, the other kids including Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Max (Sadie Sink) are enjoying the fireworks at the back.

What's interesting in the poster is that Eleven is donning a blue outfit, while Mike is wearing a yellow shirt. The outfit choice may not be coincidence as it may have something to with the message in the teaser.

Executive producer Shawn Levy previously teased that "Mike and Eleven are going strong" in the third season. "That's a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas," he said. "But again, they're like 13- or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships and there's fun to that instability."

Also starring on the series are Winona Ryder, David Harbour. Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton among others. They will also be joined by newcomer Maya Hawke, who plays Robin, an "alternative girl" bored with her job until she stumbles onto one of the secrets of Hawkins.
