Despite report that the 14-year-old had 'serious anger issues,' the former 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' star claims that his son doesn't have special needs.

AceShowbiz - Jon Gosselin has debunked ex-wife Kate Gosselin's 2016 claim about their teen son having "serious anger issues." When responding to an Instagram comment from a fan on his December 25 post, the former star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" insisted that Collin doesn't need help from any mental institution.
"He is not on any spectrum or special need," the 41-year-old TV personality simply wrote back. His reaction came after a follower asked him, "I'd like to know if he actually has 'special needs,' or if he just didn't deal [with] Kate's BS like we all suspect. Either way, he's home! And he looks happy."
Back in 2016, Kate revealed to PEOPLE that she sent Collin to a special program away from home to get help for his behavioral issues. "Collin has special needs," she said. "[There's] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things."
She continued on, "This has been a struggle we've had for a long time, and it's one I've dealt with on my own. I've felt very alone in this. By the same token, it's not something that has only impacted me or him - our entire family has been impacted."
Jon, however, was quick to challenge Kate's comment. Believing there is nothing wrong with Collin, he stated at the time that their son is just an "incredibly intuitive" and intelligent child. "He's very particular, which could be bothersome. But, he's very loving too. He was a cuddly kid as a baby," he explained to Entertainment Today.
In December 2018, Jon managed to score a win in his custody battle against Kate. He was granted sole physical and sole legal custody of Colin, and by Christmas Day, he was able to share a photo of him and Colin posing together with his daughter Hannah, his girlfriend Colleen Conrad and her children.
