The 'Deadpool 2' actor shares publicly how he and his wife went through Christmas Day after losing two-year-old Henry to a brain tumor back in January.

AceShowbiz - American funnyman Rob Delaney has opened up about his pain at going through his first Christmas since the death of his infant son.

The "Deadpool 2" star and his wife Leah lost two-year-old Henry to a brain tumour in January. The comedian and actor, who is a prolific social media user, wrote about his feelings following Christmas Day on Wednesday.

"Our first Christmas without Henry came & went," he began. "The day itself was okay, maybe because there were so many horrible, painful days leading up to it; we must have hit our quota or something. We talked about him a lot & included his memory throughout the day."

Henry was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2016 shortly after his first birthday. The cancer was removed with surgery but it returned in late 2017.

Rob, 41, who lives in London, also posted a picture of Henry peering into a tiger enclosure, which he captioned: "My sweet boy."

The star went on to write that he was sharing how he felt over Christmas in the hope it would bring comfort to other parents going through similar trauma.

"I speak publicly about Henry in an effort to destigmatize grief. My family is sad & in pain because our beautiful 2 yr (year) old boy died after a long illness," he added in another tweet, before continuing, "Tweets like this aren't therapeutic to me, nor are they 'updates'. I just want other bereaved parents & siblings to feel seen/heard/respected/loved. And maybe they might help someone not schooled in grief support a friend better. I don't know."

Rob, who co-created and stars in the sitcom "Catastrophe", announced Henry's death in an emotional Facebook post in February, and has since documented his feelings on what would have been his son's third birthday as well as on Father's Day.

He and Leah have also had happier news this year, as in June they announced she is expecting their fourth child.
