AceShowbiz - Safaree Samuel is determined to make this year's Christmas special for both him and girlfriend Erica Mena. Safaree shocked his "Love & Hip Hop" co-star as he got down on one knee and popped the question at her house in Atlanta during the Christmas Eve.
According to TMZ, Safaree proposed to Erica in front of her friends and family. He had a beautiful engagement ring in his hands which he specially bought for his wife-to-be.
In some videos that circulated online, Erica looked stunning in a pretty white gown. In a dimlit room that was filled with 200 rose petals and 200 candles, she was seen walking toward Safaree who was waiting in other side of the room.
The reality TV star later kneeled down to propose to her, while Erica couldn't help but break down in tears in the happy moment. The now-engaged couple then shared a passionate kiss that prompted applause from everyone in the room.
Another video featured the couple enjoying the beautiful fireworks outside the house which was seemingly prepared by the "Hunnid" rapper. Erica could be seen so amazed by the surprise as her jaw dropped in total amazement, before engaging in a steamy makeout session with her fiance.
It was reported that the ring that is worth $175,000, adorned with 14 carats in platinum. It was personally designed by Safaree and Trax NYC. In addition to the right, Safaree enlisted R&B group 112 to perform "Cupid" and "Crazy Over You" with a live band.
Safaree and Erica have been together for almost a year. Talking to the site, KD McNair, a rep for Safaree, confirmed the engagement and said in a statement, "2019 is the year of new beginnings and it's safe to say our guy Safaree stepped up and put a ring on it."
