AceShowbiz - Hulu has unearthed a slew of first-look photos of its upcoming satire drama "Catch-22" starring George Clooney. The newly-released photos give a better look at Clooney's role as Scheisskopf as well as Kyle Chandler's character named Cathart.

In an image that comes via Entertainment Weekly, Clooney is seen donning a fierce facial expression as he raises his eyebrows. It seems like something is bugging him.

Coming via PEOPLE, another photo of the World War II drama also features him getting all angry at two pilots. While pointing his finger at one of the poor pilots, it seems like Clooney's Scheisskopf is lashing out at them for some unknown reasons.

In addition to Clooney and Chandler, the six-part mini series stars Christopher Abbott as the main character, John Yossarian. The character is described as Air Force bombardier who thinks serving in World War II is as much about fighting the very system that he's caught up in as it is about fighting Germans.

He is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him. But his real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service.

The conflict arises because "if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he'll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relieved from duty."

"It's not that he's scared of death, it’s that he's scared of who decides to bestow death upon him. He’s fully aware that death is imminent, but he doesn't want it at the hands of this bureaucratic system," the "Vox Lux" actor says of his character.

Besides starring, Clooney directs and serves as producer of the series. Written by Joseph Heller, "Catch-22" is slated to premiere in spring 2019 on Hulu.
