Responding to the allegations, the former member of Das Racist acknowledges his misconducts in a statement in which he explains that he doesn't want to be a source of trauma.

AceShowbiz - Former Das Racist rapper Kool A.D. has apologised for any pain caused to the four women who have accused him of sexual assault.

The star hit headlines on Monday, December 17 when a report published on Pitchfork.com suggested he had forced himself upon a handful of females, including his estranged wife, artist Saba Moeel, and ex-collaborator Andie Flores, during incidents which are said to have taken place between 2006 and 2015.

Moeel claims the couple's first sexual encounter seven or eight years ago was non-consensual, but she only realised she had been taken advantage of when she reflected on the beginning of their relationship during divorce proceedings last year (2017). She also accused the MC, with whom she shares a four-year-old daughter, of making her perform oral sex on him against her will at a New Year's Eve party before they became husband and wife in 2014.

Kool A.D., real name Victor Vazquez, has responded to the allegations, confirming that he had sexual relations with each woman, but insisting he was under the impression that the encounters were all consensual.

"It was never my intention to hurt anybody, but through ignorance, entitlement and ego, I now see that I have," he wrote in a statement issued to Pitchfork.

He also expressed his willingness to learn from the troubling situations for the benefit of his loved ones, including his little girl.

"I'm trying to be vigilant about consent, have more direct conversations, check myself and really be present and attentive to the wants and needs of the women in my life and not just in sexual relationships but in my relationships with all women...," he continued. "I am learning to confront myself now so that I may transform my toxic patterns for the sake of my daughter, my family and friends, my girlfriend, my community and myself.

"I want to utilize whatever is left of my marginal celebrity to help foster more healthy ideas of masculinity and challenge the expectations that arise from gender binaries. I don't want to cause anyone any more pain. I don't want to be a source of trauma. I want a clear mind and an open heart."
