Crowned the winners of the dancing competition's 16th series, the BBC presenter and her dance partner, Kevin Clifton, beat Joe Sugg, Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts for the trophy.

AceShowbiz - Stacey Dooley has won "Strictly Come Dancing".

The BBC documentary maker and presenter, and professional dance partner Kevin Clifton, were crowned the winners of the 16th series of the dancing competition on Saturday, December 15.

Stacey, 31, beat YouTube star Joe Sugg, former Steps singer Faye Tozer and ex-The Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts to win the coveted glitterball trophy.

She is best known for hosting her hard-hitting series "Stacey Dooley Investigates", and was adored by viewers as she began the show with no dancing experience.

An emotional Kevin, who has been in the "Strictly Come Dancing" final five times, cried and sank to the floor as the winners were announced by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkelman.

Stacey paid tribute to the professional dancer as "the biggest gem" and lavished praise on him for being a supportive partner.

"I've had the most incredible time. It's daunting doing something you haven't done before - you feel silly, you feel like a bit of an idiot. But Kevin walks you through - and you so deserve this," she said tearfully.

Although judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli gave the couples their scores, the winners were decided purely by a public vote.

Kevin thanked Stacey for helping him to finally win the dancing competition, and praised the "amazing" documentary maker.

"Thank you so much not just for being so amazing and dancing so well and getting this, but just for being the most wonderful person to work with, to spend every day in training (with). You've worked so hard and always with a massive smile on your face," he gushed.
