AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" is taking an extended break. Following the controversial season 27, the ABC long-running dance competition makes a huge alteration in its schedule by skipping its spring 2019 cycle.
"Dancing with the stars" usually debuts its new season after "The Bachelor" ends. However, next year we won't be seeing the series in next. Instead, the network has included "DWTS" in the lineup for fall 2019.
The shift comes following a huge backlash after Bobbie Bones was announced as the winner in the previous season 27. The radio personality managed to best fellow finalists Alexis Ren, Milo Manheim and Evanna Lynch, who scored higher and relatively better dancers than Bobby, thanks to his massive radio followers.
"Dancing with the Stars" is not the only change on the newly-released midseason schedule. The Alphabet decides to make "A Million Little Things" take over the post-"Grey's Anatomy" slot on Thursdays at 9 P.M.: That is until "Station 19" returns on March 7, which also marks the return of "For the People".
The schedule also sees some new shows debuting in the upcoming season. Starring Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan, "Whiskey Cavalier" is slated to debut on Wednesday, Febuary 27 at 10 P.M.: Meanwhile, "The Goldbergs" spin-off series "Schooled" will premiere on Wednesday, January 9 at 8.30 P.M.: right after the return of its mothership series at 8 P.M.
