The Meredith Grey depicter reveals she hasn't spoken to her former co-star since he left the show in 2015, but claims that she has 'no hard feelings toward him.'

AceShowbiz - Ellen Pompeo had nothing but understanding and praises for Patrick Dempsey. Even after he distanced himself from her following his departure from "Grey's Anatomy" in 2015, the Meredith Grey depicter still talked about him fondly.

On Monday, December 10, the 49-year-old actress was featured as a guest on Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk". When asked if she and her former co-star are still friends, she stressed, "I have no hard feelings toward him. He's a wonderful actor, and we made the best TV you can make together." She added, "That's a talented man right there. He did 11 amazing years."

Nevertheless, the mother of three admitted to the hosts, "We haven't spoken since he's left the show." She explained, "Typically, when people leave the show, they need to sort of find themselves, who they are without the show, because the show takes up so much of your life. You need that time to figure out who you are without the show, so, we have not spoken, but I will always have a place in my heart for Patrick."

Patrick himself also spoke dearly about Ellen in a separate interview. Back in October, the 52-year-old described his on-screen chemistry with the actress to ET Online. "That was a very special bond that just - there was a magic to our connection and that's special," he said in an interview at the Dempsey Center in Lewiston, Maine.

The "Bridget Jones's Baby" actor continued, "I think it started with the original cast and the length that it has and the new people that have come in, and it's amazing and it's continuing to affect so many people and to really be a strong part of so many people's lives. You're a part of television history. It's really remarkable."

Ellen came to "Red Table Talk" to talk with Jada, Adrienne Banfield-Norris and Willow Smith about interracial marriage and raising biracial children. The wife of Chris Ivery also addressed the time she became the target of haters for using black emojis in her tweet. "They are threatened by my love of people of color or black culture," she stated.
