The veteran actor and his 99-year-old wife, who have been married for 64 years, look besotted as they pose for pictures together outside their Beverly Hills home.

AceShowbiz - Kirk Douglas and Anne Buydens are the perfect example of successful couple in Hollywood. Having been married for 64 years, the "Spartacus" star and his 99-year-old wife were spotted lovingly holding hands on his 102nd birthday as the two of them greeted well-wishers outside their Beverly Hills home.

On Sunday, December 9, the father of Michael Douglas had his house decorated with giant flower arrangements that spelled out his age in celebration of his long life. For the special occasion, he wore black fleece and dark trousers. Meanwhile, his wife Anne donned a pink two-piece. They sat side-by-side on wheelchairs.

In honor of Kirk's birthday, his daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones took to Instagram to post a video tribute. Along with a video of a little girl playing Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" on piano with a slideshow of his photos throughout the years, the "Chicago" star wrote, "Happy 102nd birthday to the most beautiful man. We love you, Kirk."

Catherine wasn't the only one paying tribute to the senior actor. Carys Douglas, her daughter with Michael, also uploaded on Instagram a photo of her grandfather when he was younger, and added a heartfelt caption. "102 years young," she wrote. "To my inspiration, my pappy. I can't put into words how much you mean to me. Happy birthday, I love you."

Catherine's son, Dylan Douglas, made use of his social media to honor his grandfather as well. He posted a black-and-white image of the "It Runs in the Family" actor. In the caption, he wrote, "Happy birthday Pappy 102 years. Though you are adored by millions, my love for you is by far the greatest. Love you forever and always."

Michael's son from his first mariage, Cameron Douglas, also didn't want to miss the fanfare. Like his half-siblings, he posted a black-and-white image of his grandfather. His, however, features a toddler looking up to an older Kirk. "Happy Birthday to a gentleman's gentlemen, with a true heart of gold," he shared his birthday wish.

Kirk is one of the last surviving stars of Golden Age film industry. He had a humble start being a son of immigrant parents with six other siblings before making his film debut in "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers" in 1946. He got his first Academy Award nomination playing an unscrupulous boxing hero in "Champion", and went on to land two more nominations. While he never won Oscars, he was awarded with Honorary Award in 1996.
