The actor known for his portrayal of Lucius Malfoy makes the admission when making an appearance at the 2018 British Independent Film Awards.

AceShowbiz - Jason Isaacs would love J.K. Rowling to ask him to return to star in another "Harry Potter" film.

Jason played Lucius Malfoy, the villainous father of Harry's great rival Draco, in six of the first eight wizarding films - and hopes the books' author will find a way for him to return to the screen as the character.

"If she (J.K.) phoned and the script arrived through the door it wouldn't hit the ground before I left," he told WENN at the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday, December 02.

However, the 55-year-old actor added that it was not up to him as an actor to decide J.K.'s plans for her franchise. The British writer's creation is now at the centre of the 'Wizarding World' cinematic universe - with two "Fantastic Beasts" films, prequels to the original movies, having been released, and three more on the way.

A play that follows Harry and Draco into adulthood, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", premiered in London in 2016 and opened on Broadway earlier this year. Jason's character does not feature in the stage play but has not been officially killed off - and could be included in any film version as time-travel features heavily as a plot device.

Although its writer has said she will not progress the "Harry Potter" stories beyond the end of the Cursed Child, she has released ebooks filling in fans on background details and plots relating to the original stories.

The latest Wizarding World film, "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" earned mixed reviews from critics on its release last month, but has proved a financial success, earning $520 million (£408 million) at the global box office.
