A lawyer for the 'Maleficent' actress confirms that the former couple has reached an agreement over the custody of their six children after long and bitter negotiations.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally ended their long and nasty feud over the custody of their children. The actress' attorney confirms that the former couple has reached a final agreement after more than two years of negotiations.

"A custody arrangement was agreed to weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge," Samantha Bley DeJean of Bley and Bley said in a statement on Friday, November 30. "The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children."

Details of the agreement are not immediately known, while Pitt's team has not commented on the custody agreement. A source close to Jolie said that she "is very pleased to be entering the next stage and relieved with progress for the health of their family" after reaching the custody agreement.

The news comes a few days before a custody trial was set to begin on December 4. The celebrity exes, who had been working with Honorable John Ouderkirk to try and hash out the settlement over their kids custody in private, requested an extension for the appointment of the private temporary judge, who also oversaw their nuptials in 2014.

The extension would give the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" actor and the "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers" director until December 31, 2019 to work on reaching agreements with Ouderkirk presiding it, before any formal judgment is rendered.

"It's been up and down for months and they aren't anywhere close to making an agreement," a source previously told E! News. Another insider added, "They're still working together towards an out of court settlement. Angelina is not seeking sole custody of the kids, she still supports the reconciliation of the children with their father."
