While Cheryl Walker recalls having good conversation with the late 'Fast and Furious' star, castmate Tyrese Gibson reminds people to keep praying for the actor's daughter in his tribute.

AceShowbiz - Paul Walker's mother marked the fifth anniversary of her son's car crash death on Friday, November 30, by recalling her last chat with the actor.

The "Fast and Furious" star and his daughter Meadow visited his mum the morning before his death in a fiery road accident and talked to her about the family's Christmas plans.

"We were having this good conversation, and he'd forgotten about an event he had," Cheryl Walker tells People. "He got a text and said, 'Oh my gosh, I'm supposed to be somewhere!'"

He then left to attend a charity car show for "Reach Out Worldwide", where he would step into a Porsche driven by his pal Roger Rodas and race off to his death minutes later.

"I think so many people think, 'Oh, he was just a movie star who was killed in a car accident', but there was so much more to him," Cheryl adds. "That was just a piece of who he was. He was an amazing man."

"I've gotten letters from people all over the world who said he made a difference in their lives. That is such a blessing. He's never forgotten."

Both Walker and Rodas were killed when the driver lost control of the sports car and rammed it into a light post. The vehicle burst into flames upon impact.

The actor's "Fast and Furious" castmate Tyrese Gibson also paid tribute to his late friend on the fifth anniversary of his death, posting a series of videos and pictures on Instagram.

"5 years ago today we all woke up to a nightmare," Gibson wrote. "Believe me it's still very real for all of us that knew him and loved him personally."

Tyrese also urged those grieving Walker's death to check out the new "I Am Paul Walker" documentary on iTunes, while also taking a moment to salute the actor's daughter: "Please keep praying for the WALKER family especially his daughter @meadowwalker who's one of the strongest most resilient angels out there!!" he added.
