AceShowbiz - Is John Mayer trolling his and Halsey's fans who are shipping them? The 41-year-old singer has once again left a flirty comment on the "Bad at Love" singer's Instagram post after the latter shared her struggles to find inspiration for a new song.
On Sunday, November 25, Halsey posted a video of her strumming a guitar while looking away from the camera. After playing some random tunes, she stopped and lowered down her head looking disappointed, before turning off the camera.
She wrote in the caption, "This Is Your Brain on Writer's Block: everything I write today sounds like my myspace song in 2008 or a poorly disguised Beatles rip off," adding a plea, "someone send help."
Lucky for her, John was more than willing to help her during the inspiration drought. He wrote in the comment section, "I can be over to break your heart in 20?"
Halsey's followers who noticed John's flirty comment could not help responding to the "Waiting on the World to Change" crooner's move. One supportive fan wrote, "@johnmayer bring @iamhalsey on Current Mood."
Another jokingly replied, "@johnmayer don't you think 24* too young to be messed with your dark twisted games? Lmao." Another person seemed to oppose a possible romantic relationship between John and Halsey as writing, "@johnmayer leave her shampoo alone!"
Halsey previously sparked speculation that there's something romantic going on between her and John Mayer after she posted a video of her having a karaoke session with the rocker on Instagram Story earlier this month. The "Your Body Is a Wonderland" hitmaker wasn't there in person, but they connected through a video chat. "7 am carpool karaoke with John Mayer," Halsey captioned the post.
She, however, debunked the rumors by saying on Twitter, "I just had a ground breaking idea. What if...we let female artists...have friends...without assuming that they are sleeping together?" She skeptically added, "I know I know. It's like, completely ambitious but like, imagine if we like, tried ?"
Later on November 20, Halsey sparked rumors that she has moved on from G-Eazy split by dating a younger guy, Yungblud. The 24-year-old singer looked smitten with the British musician as they were pictured leaving Milk Studios together in Hollywood. She was pictured sweetly gazing at him while snuggling up to the 20-year-old. Halsey also held a bouquet of flowers which her new flame probably gave her.
Halsey hasn't addressed the dating reports which link her to Yungblud.
