The country music star throws his family 'for a loop' with the pregnancy announcement on ABC's 'I'm Coming Home' special.

AceShowbiz - Jack Owen is surprising many with a happy news on Thanksgiving Day. The "American Country Love Song" crooner made an appearance on ABC's "I'm Coming Home" and announced that his girlfriend, Erica Hartlein, is pregnant with their first child together.

In an episode aired Thursday, November 22, the 37-year-old country singer broke the news as he visited his hometown in Florida. "This'll throw you guys for a loop," he warned his parents and his twin brother Jarrod. "We haven't told anyone, but Erica and I will be having a little addition to our Owen family."

Reacting to the news, Jake's mom expressed her wish for twins whereas his dad exclaimed, "Gotta have a little boy!" Amid the excitement, his interior designer girlfriend quipped, "Now I'm gonna turn really red!"

It is still unclear whether Jake is expecting a baby boy or girl, but a representative for Jake informed PEOPLE that the bundle of joy would be born in late spring/early summer 2019. Despite the announcement on the TV special, the 2012 ACA's Breakthrough Artist of the Year hadn't released any statement personally.

Jake and Erica had been very secretive about their relationship. Media had been kept in the blind about when they had started dating, but it was speculated that they first met when Jake wanted to remodel his house. The lovebird made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards in April this year.

While this baby will be his first child with Erica, Jake is already a father to Pearl, his six-year-old daughter from a previous marriage to Lacey Buchanan. The "Beachin' " hitmaker married Lacey in May 2012. The marriage lasted only for three years with them divorcing in August 2015.

In a statement he released at the time, Jake shared, "Sadly Lacey and I have decided to end our marriage. We want to focus on our daughter Pearl and make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents. We appreciate you respecting our privacy during this time." He additionally turned to Twitter to admit that the divorce was "the hardest thing I've ever done in my life."
