The life of dutiful daughter Tessa Young will never be the same after meeting bad-boy heartthrob Hardin Scott in her first semester in college.

AceShowbiz - Here's your first look at "After", an adaptation of Anna Todd's 2014 novel of the same name. Starring Josephine Langford ("Wish Upon", "Wolf Creek") and Hero Fiennes Tiffin ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"), it follows a college freshman who begins a turbulent relationship with a bad-boy heartthrob.

Langford portrays Tessa Young, who is described as a dedicated student, dutiful daughter and loyal girlfriend to her high school sweetheart. The trailer shows her being drawn to Hardin Scott's (Tiffin) mysterious charm.

During what looks like a college party, someone challenges Tessa to make out with Hardin in a truth or dare game. Refusing to do the challenge, Tessa later encounters Hardin in a room upstairs where he whispers to her, "I think you owe me a dare."

A friend warns Tessa about Hardin, "Be careful, Hardin is complicated." But Tessa apparently can't resist the temptation as the two are seen having steamy makeout session in the lake and hooking up in another scene.

"There are moments in our lives that seem to define us. But isn't it about what lies beyond those moments?" Tessa says in voiceover. She continues toward the end of the video, "My life before him was so simple and now there's just after."

According to the official synopsis, armed with grand ambitions for her future, Tessa's guarded world opens up when she meets the dark and mysterious Hardin Scott, a magnetic, brooding rebel who makes her question all she thought she knew about herself and what she wants out of life.

Jenny Gage directs the adult romance film while Susan McMartin adapts the novel into a script. With Selma Blair, Pia Mia, Peter Gallagher, Jennifer Beals, Shane Paul McGhie and Khadijha Red Thunder supporting the cast, the movie is scheduled to be released in theaters across the nation on April 12, 2019.
