Filomena, mother of the 'Summer Girls' hitmaker, confirms his passing stating that his fiancee informed her of his death in the early hours of November 21.

AceShowbiz - LFO singer Devin Lima has died at the age of 41.

The "Summer Girls" hitmaker lost his battle with stage 4 cancer on Wednesday morning (November 21), according to TMZ.

Devin and bandmate Brad Fischetti reunited as a duo last year (2017) after splitting in 2010 following the death of bandmate Rich Cronin, who lost his fight with leukaemia.

LFO were planning to tour earlier this year, but Devin's health issued forced them off the road after doctors discovered a massive tumour sitting on his adrenal gland in October, 2017.

Confirming the sad news of his death, Lima's mum Filomena tells Us Weekly, "My son has passed away. His fiancee was living with him and let us know that he passed at 2.45 in the morning. He was struggling for 13 months since his cancer diagnosis. The family is not good."

LFO formed in Massachusetts in 1995. Lima replaced Brian Gillis in the band in 1999. As well as "Summer Girls", the stars enjoyed hits with "Girl on TV" and "Every Other Time", and released two albums.

Lima also found success as an actor, appearing in the films "Longshot", "American Pie Presents: Beta House" and "All That".
