AceShowbiz - Even though they didn't manage to bring home mirrorball trophy, Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten are still very excited over what the future holds for the two of them. Having been brought together by "Dancing With the Stars", the pair who finished fourth in season 27 are eager to take their romance out of the show and be like other normal couples.
"Now we can be normal for a little while," 24-year-old Alan told Entertainment Tonight when interviewed after the November 19 finale. "I don't have to teach her five hours a day, so we can just go hang out." 21-year-old Alexis shared the same sentiment, but did note that she would miss "dancing together on stage."
Despite their blooming relationship, Alexis denied that she had thrown the L-bomb like what was insinuated on the dancing competition show. The 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie explained that it was the result of clever editing by the editors. "They cut it! 'I really felt love in myself,' " she dished. "Honestly, I have no idea where that came from."
While Alexis and Alan are looking forward to being a normal couple, they will have to spend the holidays apart. Nevertheless, Alan assured that Alexis had met his parents before the finale. When asked further on what his parents thought of the model, the pro dancer enthused, "What can you not think of her? She's such a sweet person and she's so caring and it's amazing."
Alexis and Alan had been teasing fans over their budding romance on "DWTS" for weeks before going public with their feelings for each other. A week after Alexis hinted that she was developing feelings for Alan, he reciprocated in the November 5 episode of "DWTS". "I never had an experience like this. It's so easy to just hang out with you, have fun and not worried about anything else," he confessed in a clip that concluded with them sharing a kiss.
As for the competition itself, the lovebird didn’t mind losing to Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess. Alexis simply declared, "I feel like I won!” Her boyfriend, meanwhile, took praising route. "I'm so proud of Bobby and Sharna," he stated in another interview with ExtraTV. "Bobby definitely shines tonight, his freestyle is incredible. He had so much fun and I feel like that's why he won."
