The 'Slender Man' actress, who shaved her head for 'The Act', recalls the time when a man sitting next to her in a plane took a picture of her and texted his wife he didn’t want to catch the disease.

AceShowbiz - A bald girl doesn’t necessarily mean she is terminally ill. Joey King has experienced firsthand how it was like to be on the receiving end of one’s ignorance, and she refused to keep it to herself. On Sunday, November 18, the 19-year-old starlet expressed her displease over one rude airplane passenger who thought she had cancer.

Venting her frustration on Twitter, the Elle Evans of "The Kissing Booth" first shared, "Y'all I'm on a plane & this man next to me literally turned to me with his phone in my face & took a photo of me as if I wouldn't notice & texted his wife that he's sitting next to a girl who has cancer (just cuz I'm bald) & that hes scared to 'catch it.'" She went on to add, "Y R PPL STUPID SUMTIMES."

A few minutes later, the "Ramona and Beezus" actress posted a more elaborate tweet. "I read his text over his shoulder," she wrote, "and it said 'some bald chick next to me with F**kn cancer cough and I don't wanna catch it.' ...um ya jokin?"

The reaction was instantaneous as Joey's followers immediately lashed out at the unnamed passenger. A user by the name of Fleur pointed out, "UGH. THAT IS NOT OKAY. Cancer is a serious and painful disease. It’s not just hard for the person itself. It’s also hard for his/her family. It’s a disease we as ppl know almost noting about. I hate the fact that ppl underestimate the impact it has on ppl."

Another fan condemned the ignorant passenger by writing, "This man was so disrespectful . 1st of all what made this man think it was okay to take a picture of you ? 2nd of all perhaps this man and his wife should do their research first before jumping to conclusion because both of them are clearly ignorant AF ." A third user threw a revenge idea to Joey, "Should have done the same to him, text someone and said 'There's an idiot next to me and I'm scared I'm gonna get dumber.' Of course make sure he seen it."

In reality, Joey shaved her head for a role on Hulu's true-crime series, "The Act". The "White House Down" actress takes the part of Gypsy Blanchard, a girl who killed her overprotective mother for making her pretend she is sick when she is perfectly healthy. She will star opposite Patricia Arquette, who plays her mother.

Back in October, Joey opened up to Allure Magazine about cutting her locks. "I've never really had an attachment to my hair. I couldn't care less what happens to it," Joey nonchalantly said. "No part of me was nervous or was second-guessing it. So many people would ask me, 'are you really scared?' or 'are you nervous?' or say 'you're so brave.' And I'd go, 'I'm not brave. I'm just cutting my hair off.' "
